Grilled Lamb

Oh. I LOVE cooking simple dishes like this one you see on the left. Sometimes quick dishes need a little bit of effort, creativity and imagination. What you have to do is watch and watch and watch lots of cooking shows on TV so that you'll get ideas on what and how to cook.

I'd call this dish Grilled Lamb. I bought the lamb meat marinated and the supermarket was selling it at a reduced price.

So when I reached home, I heated the oven for 10 minutes at 200 degrees Celcius and grilled them for almost 30 minutes.

As the lamb cooks, prepare the sauce:

1 tbsp flour
1 tbsp butter
onion, chopped
tomatoes, diced
a few drops of lemon juice
salt
a cup of water
lamb juices

Put butter in a small pan at a low heat and once it melts, saute the onion. Add in flour and stir until the mixture becomes yellowish. Then, throw in tomatoes and a cup of water. Bring them to boil. Add in drops of lemon and juices of lamb that you grill in the oven. Finally, dash some pepper.

As for the salad, it is up to you what you want to have together with the lamb, but I'd suggest romaine lettuce, tomatoes, onion and butterhead. The more colour the veggies have, the better. After cleaning them, drizzle some olive oil and lemon juice and let sit in the refrigerator to maintain its freshness. You can also add a tablespoon of mayo (just one tablespoon because you don't want to have too much cholesterol in your food!)

By now your lamb is already cooked. Take them out and lay them on the plate. Squeeze some lemon and pour sauce onto it.

It takes only 30-40 minutes to prepare this dish. So if you're coming back from work, it wouldn't be such a burden for you to have a quick dinner you prepare on your own!
